A cabin set on the edge of a meadow in the mountains of eastern Washington State. The cabin is nestled in a small grove of trees in the middle of a large river valley. The cabin is orientated to capture territorial and mountains views while blocking unwanted views of adjacent homes.
The living and dining rooms are in a 2 story space with windows all around. This space opens to patios on 3 sides through large sliding doors. One of the patios has an outdoor replace. The back half of the house is more enclosed and contains the kitchen, bedroom, bathrooms and other utility spaces. The upper floor has a loft and a screened sleeping porch. A small detached carport and storage area is located through the stand of trees. The storage area also doubles as a wax room as the local cross country ski trail is located steps from the cabin.
