The Icicle clients desired a space to call home and wanted to move quickly. PBW designed a separate detached accessory dwelling unit with garage to satisfy the initial desires to occupy the property in phase one. Simple shed roofs justaposed on the site create a sense of thoughtful spaces and open up various view corridors. Covered outdoor spaces open up to the grade and the structural system sits lightly on the rocky landscape. Metal siding and standing seam roofs were designed to handle heavy snow loads, while warmer wood siding and soffits extend to outdoor patios and decks.
